Many included agates and jaspers have picturesque qualities. Burro Creek Agate from Arizona (upper half of photo) often has a scenic quality. The black dendrites growing from the opaque to the translucent part of the agate take on tree-like forms and the reddish agate is suggestive of sunsets.
Del Norte Plume Agate (lower half of the photo) is an agate thunderegg formation from Colorado. Some of the thundereggs contain agate with plumes that tend to form from the matrix towards the center of the egg. When a cab is oriented with this matrix on the bottom and plumes or moss up into the clear agate, forest-like scenes are suggested.
