Imperial Jasper is one of the 5 commercially mined Fine Jaspers that have
the rare overlapping “egg” pattern. It is found over a
wide area in Guadalajara, Mexico. These cabs were made from the newly
mined nodular material. It has a chalky white outside and the inside is
usually the soft shades of pink, blue, green, yellow, and brown that you
see in these cabs. The cab in the center of the picture is 66 mm (about
2.5") long.
