    Ocean Wave Agate 

     Ocean Wave Agate is a recently discovered rock from Madagascar. It was found about 400 yards from the Ocean Jasper® deposit. It has gentle wavy patterns with a wide variety of colorations including  blue-green, red, pink, white, lavender, orange, gold, brown, and black. This material was brought to the US market for the first time at the Tucson Show this year (Feb 2003).
     These cabochons were cut and polished by hand in our lapidary at The Gem Shop. The circular piece in the top row center measures about 56mm in diameter.
